USS Victory - Deck 07: Transporter Room

Building on the transporter technology advancements first implemented on refit Constitution-class ships during the 2270's, transporter rooms on board Victory featured an updated pad with improved capabilities. Machinery for the transporter was still placed beneath the deck, but thanks to improvements over the last few decades it was less bulky, necessitating a single access panel at the center of the room, rather than occupying most of the floor space.

The room also featured an adjacent staging area, accessible via a small doorway, where away teams could pick up mission specific equipment or gear if necessary. The transporter control console itself was enclosed on a raised alcove and shielded with a transparent aluminum panel. This protected the operator both from any potential hostile boarding party, and from any dangers of prolonged exposure to the updated transporter systems.
